PROPERTY SURVEYS, what they are and what is their purpose

When you buy a property, you may feel more comfortable and confidante to do that big step after having an impartial and credible third party that gives you an opinion on the general state of the house. It is also possible to do it only for a certain aspect of the house that has a lot of relevance in the buyer's opinion.
A Property survey is very important before you buy a used house but also in the case of buying a new house that has just been built or renovated.

 

What is a Property Survey Service?

  3. Plumbing Survey – Check if there is a concern infiltration or plumbing related, in order to define if an intervention is needed since water damage due to rupture or lack of watertightness is the most common problem in homes.
  4. Water Leaks and Humidity Survey - Verification of infiltration or a leak and understand it's origin.
  5. House Energy Efficiency Survey - To improve the thermal efficiency of the house and make it more comfortable and energetically sustainable.
  6. Structural Survey - This allows the buyer to have a deeper knowledge of the property and its status before purchasing a property from the structural perspective.
  7. Sang List – a list of small defect or problems that remains on a property after the building work has been completed.
  8. Reinforced Localized Structure Calculation – A structural engineer will analysis and design a new structural detail in a refurbishment when a new structural project is not required.

This Surveys allow the buyer to have a deeper knowledge of the property and its status before purchasing a property. Additionally, this will give the security and the certitude if an intervention is needed.

The surveys are Certified trained engineers, electricians do these surveys, each one for their specific specialty.
