So, that’s a pretty good excuse to explore smaller cities, which are surrounded by the most outstanding landscapes. In the North, Bragança is the place to go if you aim to have an incredible and outstanding gastronomic experience. G Pousada was awarded for Chef Óscar Gonçalves’ creativity and rare skills, mixing the best of Trás-os-Montes region’s cuisine has to offer with a modern twist. The second restaurant to be given a Michelin star is right in the cradle of Portugal, where the Portuguese nation was born! Chef António Loureiro at "A Cozinha" serves modern Portuguese cuisine. Heading south we find the last (but certainly not the least) of the three. “Midori Restaurant” at Penha Longa Resort in Sintra is being recognized for Chef Pedro Almeida’s creativity and innovative way of integrating Portuguese traditional cuisine with Japanese details!
