The friendliness of Portugal has been measured! A survey has been conducted by InterNations, an online community that brings together foreign residents across five continents and this year received the response of 18,000 people of 178 nationalities living in 187 countries or territories of one country. Portugal ranked tenth when it comes to countries where it is easier to meet new people and create friendships! Nearly two-thirds of expatriates (64%) find it easy to make local friends in the country (up from 45% globally) and 75% say making new friends overall is easy (up from 57% of global data).
You will also find quite early on, that Portugal is a country that offers many different possibilities for the most varied interests and hobbies! You can join groups and classes for walks and trekking, surf and paddle board classes, tile painting, book readings, and cultural walks around every city.
